We always encourage our moms to keep, to nurture and to educate their own babies, their own children! We also try to help them to improve themselves, educationally or otherwise.
Read Our Services for the Moms

Provides transitional safe housing to poor vulnerable families, mothers and children, below the poverty level. Priority is given to pregnant women, women over 18 with children under 5 and refugees.

SOCIAL SERVICES:
Case work management and referrals are provided to obtain income, food and health resources, legal advocacy and immigration processing, all to promote family independence. Food is distributed to large families.

HEALTH SERVICES:
Primary family health care is provided within the home in treatment of minor and acute illnesses. Chronic, specialized problems will be referred; self health instruction is also provided.

EDUCATION:
In-house education is provided including English as a second language, parenting skills, family nutrition, discipline, conflict resolution, and credit counseling.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING:
Housekeeping and driving instruction. Residents may be referred to GED or other vocational programs.

How Can Your Church, Club, Group or Civic Organization
& Chalet Magnificat Help One Another:
  • Adopt a family or resident, offering friendship, help with tutoring or errands, sharing meals and holiday cheer.
  • Sponsor activities for children, homeless families and single parents. Send volunteers to participate in outings, crafts, storytelling and games.
  • Volunteer for childcare, tutoring or housekeeping.
  • Make a regular monthly contribution to subsidize a family or person.
  • Make an annual contribution for a general operating cost or special project.
